Homemade Sushi

We ditched the typical roast and potatoes Sunday dinner. Tonight we had sushi, and we made it ourselves. Thanks to the help of the rice cooker, our friends who showed us how to roll maki, and Fresh Direct's Japanese specialty ingredients, we made delicious sushi rolls. Check it out.

A full tray of sushi, just for the two of us -- 7 rolls!

Yes, that salmon is real and raw. Five hours later, we both feel okay, so I guess it was safe enough to eat. Check out our cool sushi set.
Daniel is really excited to dig in.

What's left after our feast. Sushi was so fun to make that we couldn't stop.

Here's a close-up. We used salmon, crab (the imitation kind), shrimp, avocado, cucumber and cream cheese (for the Philly role).

I'm not going to take over. We need to teach Mom how to blog. I talked to her about it last night and she said she's "too dumb" to learn show. Pshhh!
